The medical directors are people who handle medical centres. They lead medical centres and are hired by the board of directors or the owners of the companies. The directors are responsible for setting the aims and goals of all the individuals in the organization. A medical centre has to provide medical services but the ultimate motive of a private medical centre is to make profits. Profit is the ultimate motive of everyone working in a private organization.
The directors of private medical centers have to provide medical care services and make profits for the owners. However, the public sector is totally different from the private sector. The main aim in the public sector is to provide services. The directors working for public health care centers are always providing services to the people. They still have profit as an aim but profit is a secondary aim which can be compromised on whereas heath is the main aim which can never be compromised on.
1) A healthcare director has to make sure that everyone in the health center is keeping up with the responsibilities. It is important to command, they have to lead the individuals and get results from them. The doctors serving at the health center will not take their work seriously if they don’t have anyone who keeps an eye on them. The directors have to keep a check of all the doctors and other workers in the organization to make sure that everyone is working and meeting the deadlines effectively.
2) The healthcare directors have to motivate their employees. It is important to motivate your employees because motivation leads to a better performance. The individuals working in a healthcare center will not be motivated if they are not provided with monetary or non-monetary incentives. The directors should give some incentives to doctors who perform well throughout the year and motivate other employees with promotions and other stuff. This will lead to the aims of making profits by getting effective performances from the doctors and other employees in the healthcare center.
